This film is very unsettling. The more I think about it the sadder I get. After the film was over I felt horrible. It was very depressing, and a film has not touched me this much emotionally since Whiplash.
But this is a great film and I am glad I had the privilege of seeing it early at a local film festival. It portrays human cruelty and its ramifications very adeptly. The films does a great job at building tension and making you feel unsettled. The very cramped interiors of all the sets, the doll house, and the whispered prayers add to the eerie atmosphere. Riley Keough gives a great performance, and Alicia Silverstone was great in the opening.
Something's not quite right as the story unfolds, and its not what you think. The film fooled me and I liked that. Another great film from these two directors about bratty children.

Please and thank you. level 1 All I can think about is the grease splatter everywhere level 2 Honestly not a big deal at all if you clean up right away. level 2 I was cooking less of my favorite fried foods cause of the splatter, I splurged and bought a frywall and now I can fry up some greasy bacon and burgers without the splatter. I made some lettuce wrapped cheeseburgers with avocado slices, it's a keto burger. level 2 You know they sell things that prevent this right? level 2 Thats why I use my cast iron griddle on my grill, not on my stovetop. level 1 Ill take one with cheese please. Thankyou level 2 I use the Tillamook slices. Those things are legit thick. Like, how proper cheese slices SHOULD be! level 1 You forgot to put while onion slices in the middle of the pan to cook in all the glorious flavor level 2 Dude yes, I'll sometimes quarter an onion, keeping part of the root so the pedals stay infact. I put them in the pan while cooking other stuff. I flip them when they burn. I call it burnt onions level 1 I prefer a skillet or flattop burger over a grilled one every day of the week! It's all about the crust. level 2 I put my cast iron on the grill cause it smokes too much to use in the house level 2 Best way to cook a burger no doubt. level 1 Honestly, I heartily approve. But, Im more of a smash burger guy myself. I fully appreciate this though. level 2 I've been making them with chuck ground in my food processor to a nice gravelly texture level 2 Came to say this as well.

If you do go again, could you get a photo of their lid stands? Looks like they are using two different types of stands on that top shelf. level 2 I have a wok, I love it. Cast iron woks take some getting used to but they're great to cook in. Get a proper chuan for it, though. A regular spatula isn't going to cut it. level 2 Nooo, a WORK trip. Not a wok trip. level 1 Is their factory expensive? I e seen pans on their site about double what is in stores like Walmart. level 2 I haven't been in a couple of years, but they basically have everything at list price, IIRC. However, they also have seconds that might have a small cosmetic imperfection it something. They're usually quite a bit cheaper than retail. The store is between where I live and my parents' house. So, I've stopped by several times on the way. level 1 haha i wondered about my gas mileage when i drove from california to toronto canada with my cast iron dutch oven and frying pans. 10/10 would never leave my cast iron at home. level 2 I moved cross country and spent over week after the movers came from starting point to when the dropped off at my new house. I kept one of my pans behind (A chefs knife, cutting board and meat thermometer) level 1 The last time I was in the Lower 48 I was driving by there and saw the sign. I knew I must go. I wish I could have had a spending spree, but I had to fly home. level 1 Have to show the spoils of the trip! level 1 Would you like to buy a piece of cookware sir? Yes, but not sure how to pick. Which one were you interested? One of everything. ETA: I picked up that monster 20 inch, 2 burner griddle/grill in the bottom rack of the photo. Couldn't be happier with it. level 1 Its a fun place to visit. level 1 I just got a Lodge Dutch Oven. Its my favorite Cast Iron yet. My only criticism is that the cooking surface is a bit rough and hard to clean. Any suggestions? level 2 Keep cooking in it and it will become better over time. Mine was the same way. level 1 Any idea if the "lodge factory store" in pigeon forge or sevierville are as good as the one in South Pittsburg.
The lodge watch movie. The Lodge Watch movie maker. Just saw this at the Fantasia Film Festival and gotta say I regretted staying to the end. The first half was absolutely promising with an eerie atmosphere but once the hugely illogical story-line comes into play, I was praying for a brilliant twist at the end to explain all my questions. Suffice it to say, the twist was moronic and hugely unsatisfying. Acting, especially from Riley, was quite strong and poor Alicia Silverstone must be desperate for cash these days as her bit role was completely throwaway and required very little from her.
Yet another disappointment from the half-baked faux-goth bro-sis team. Let's hope this is their last film.

The Lodge Watch movie page. Watch the lodge movie online. I was quite excited with this movie and just saw it at the Lisbon International Horror Filme Festival.
In fact, this movie seemed really brilliant on its first half, building tension and causing some doubts on the audience about the existence of paranormal stuff going on or not. The problem is exactly the storyline, really confusing and lacking some explanations on the second half of the movie and the slow pace.
Final twist was expected to save the day but it was the opposite.
